i have a 1965 jaguar which i am planning on working on. it has some missing parts and paint comoletely stripped off body....no big deal on either count BUT....somebody in the past routed a whole between the two factory pickups.
so the question is how will this affect the quitar? should i leave it a hole? or fill it with a piece of wutever the body is made from?
any comments would be appreciated thanks

Not much.beauceronner wrote: how will this affect the quitar?
Ideally yes, but only if you know how to do it PROPERLY or if you know some good luthier who is really able to fix it professionally.beauceronner wrote: fill it with a piece of wutever the body is made from?
If you are unsure and there is no skilled around who is able to perform this work : leave it as it is ( if the routing is invisible with the pickguard on).
If someone around you tells you he/she has the skills do do it: No, don't give it to that person

oh, and please post a pic if you can. It also depends on how clean the routing is .
