We're both vintage drum guys, how about a Champagne Sparkle? It's not 50s Fender but it's late 50/60s Ludwig, Gretsch, Slingerland, Rogers, etc. It's a beautifully classy look, in my opinion, and you'd look awesome playing a Champagne Sparkle Strat.

Oh god, that inlay is worse than I thought.
It may be worth cutting it out and patching the hole, just to know it's not there anymore under the new paint.

This is an excellent rectangle

If you don't do Champagne Sparkle Metal Flake, we're no longer friends.

I know you mentioned no green, but Coke bottle green would absolutely be my first choice for sparkle.
And holy hitler is that inlay terrible! I'd wanna carve it out just so I know it's no longer in there like some sort of tonz tumor.

I know what youre talking about, but I wasnt saying it has to be done the same way. Fender has done similar, but a tad too purple-pink. I prefer the way Gretsch did it on their guitars. In any case, you do you.

From the Rick Picks thread...
DocCarlson wrote:In 2013, Rick Nielsen set up a temporary exhibit with Burpee Museum here in Rockford showcasing a bunch of Cheap Trick/Rick Nielsen memorabilia including a selection from his massive guitar collection. With Cheap Trick getting into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month they've been in the news a lot here and it reminded me that I never shared these photos with you guys. I'm sorry for the crap quality, and this isn't everything; there were so many insanely rare guitars in one place it was hard even to focus on anything long enough to take pictures.
So, here they are: they're kind of big, and there are a lot of them.

Don't get me wrong, it's nice. It just looks a little boring. Needs more nazi symbolism, you know? Something with timeless flair.
