I know these things CAN be saved but I honestly think chucking the neck and scratchplate assembly into some sort of crusher/grinder would give me more pleasure

Yeah - I was the first bidder on that one (I had to tell the seller that it was a Jaguar instead of a Jazzmaster)

Maybe I'll bid again towards the end. ...I've fixed a heavy metal Jaguar peghead before, and I still have a cut-for-humbuckers 60's Jaguar pickguard in need off a home.

Hope you do bid, a restoration on this jaguar would be a joy to see. BTW - I also have a humbucker'd 60's tort guard available if need be.

That jag is so so so rad. It looks like something Jon Spencer would play the hell out of.

If anyone here buys it please for the love of there being some small tiny glimmer of fun left in the universe, just love it for what it is and don't try and 'fix' it. The world doesn't need another boring jag.
