I missed it the first time but the three pickup JM looks like it had four extra tuners once.
Still the transparent red finish is stunning.
A product of a late 70's homesteading experiment.
You can't spell avarice without AVRI.

The iconic shape of the Jazzmaster is embedded in my brain so every time I see that added middle pickup I cringe a little. Too much of a tight squeeze for my liking (I feel the same about SGs and Firebirds.

There must be a way of coming up with an under guard "stealth" option.
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

But this one is from a guy who has the whole history online (I think in Dutch).
So he wanted a strat, could get a JM for really cheap, was into indorock at first, did several refins etc etc
but still most things original as far as I know. I actually think it's really cool.

I just HATE that shade of red... wine red... the color of my terrible first electric guitar...

Very neat. Looks like a shorter scale length neck than found on your run of the mill strat

Ooh mama, that's so clever I'm going to have to try it out some day! How cool would it be if it'd drop right into TOM posts and the nipples would have exactly the right spacing for strings?
