I just bought this Jag? (1964 Jaguar)

Post by schoolie » Wed May 07, 2014 2:08 pm

Weird, I went to reverb.com and this caught my eye with 2 minutes left on the auction. I placed a bid and to my surprise...I won it?!

How bad did I do? Anybody played this one?

https://reverb.com/item/481-fender-jagu ... price-drop

Thanks!

I can safely say that the UK is jealous of your pricing.

that's screaming for a refin, but for that price in that shape you did AMAZINGLY GOOD!

let's hope it all goes down smoothly.

if all good aside from the refin i'd say you are well ahead of current prices ;)

Thanks! I'm so nervous...I'll post pics when it arrives. I don't like the sunburst on this one, so maybe I'll refinish in something cool.

Don't be nervous! I work for Reverb and actually had a chance to play this exact guitar at CME before they put it up for auction. It is awesome. In fact, if memory serves, they weren't even 100% sure it was a refin. You will not be disappointed.

A thousand times this. I'm thinking of importing an old Fender head because of the stupid money amps seem to go for over here.

Congrats on the Jag, I kind of like the weird burst on it from the pictures!

That's an insanely good price! Reverb seems to be home to a few good deals lately, a nice early shape Travis Bean standard sold on there for $2900 the other day.

You got check the auctions section. Proportionally there are way fewer auctions on Reverb than Ebay, but this is really where most of the best deals are lurking: https://reverb.com/?condition=used&list ... e=auctions" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
