Terrie Hessels of Dutch punk legend The Ex has been usiing one, since '79 as well.

(I don't own this picture. It's featured on http://www.welovedc.com/2011/03/16/we-l ... cat-31211/ + more detailed view of the axe on : http://dalstonsound.wordpress.com/2012/ ... -cafe-oto/)
Funny that on yours, the lacquer must've come off without that much abuse, just from sitting down with it

What might be interesting about The Ex (for the modding crew) is that both guitarists got themselves Squier Jaguar Basses after their bass player left. Terrie having the routing and neck pocket reversed for lefty use!
Pop is the most wonderful music – as long as it's played with three basses, a string section, and two french horns going "Vroop-Vrooo".

Yes definitely offset enough. I've only ever played the versions of this guitar with humbuckers, never the single coils. here's my B-301:

Wow, I never knew anyone else actually used these. If that's an S-70 and not an S-300, I'll be surprised.

And I love the B series by them! If only I were a bassist :P

I really wish I knew some history about this guitar. It's a really well made and well played instrument, obviously it lived in many bars, but not a single photo has been found of someone using it. I live in a historically rich area, yet no one knows where it came from. (DC)

As much of a mystery as this guitar has been, I love it to death. Sets up perfectly and holds its setup for a long time. Now it just needs a refret.

I've seen The Ex with a Jaguar Baritone as well, lefty.

What's going on with the headstock there? A replacement along with the neck I imagine? Weird one...

I've seem them several times and had always wondered which brand/type of guitar it was he played. Only put it together a year or so ago. Tempted to grab one if the neck feel would be right though I already have a guitar with humbuckers. Could throw any number of things in there though.

He has worn away that part of the headstock by rubbing the headstock on the ground or whatever else is around. That guitar has been very thrashed.

there is one in a local pawn shop in glasgow but i highly doubt it's for sale at a good price since while this place get's good guitars. they are never at good prices and rarely sell. i mean why would you pay £180 for a used squier bronco when across the street, you can get a brand new one for £189
