Way cool.  I've always liked Incubus (though being a bass player I miss Dirk Lance).  The XII sounds great.

THat's the first time I've heard an XII before, now I've got to get my hands around one, I can't think of another 12 string electric that sounds like it.

Maybe it's the first time you KNEW you heard one.  The 12-string on Stairway to Heaven is an XII.  Since Page played the doubleneck SG live, everyone thought that's what he played on the recording.

Whoa, I had no idea Page used an XII on Stairway, I always thought it was the Gibson doubleneck SG.  The only fender I was aware of him owning was the crazy looking Telecaster with the psycodelic paint job and mirror pickguard seen in early Zep footage.

Now, one person I knew that played one at some point was Bob Dylan.  When I was starting out in guitar, I remember mom handing me a pile of old books, and one of em' was some Bob Dylan book from the 70's or really early 80's, and it had a photograph of Dylan playing an XII through a Twin I believe.  I wish it were here so I could scan a picture in of it.  Up until that point I thought Bob always stuck to Acousitc.

I think Bob had a few pictures taken with various Fenders. I've also seen pics of him with a Jazzmaster and a Jazz bass (go figure) .. maybe some sort of deal with Fender was going on.

Wow! I can't believe I'd ever think Incubus was half-way decent. Not to shabby for mainstream alternative rock. There is hope.

I've always loved 12vers, but although I prefer them greatly to Ricks and they clearly have an undeniable coola$$ factor, I've got a 12ver that was made for me by a very well respected luthier with direct ties to one prestigious guitar co and ties to the Fender Custom Shop that absolutely blows any other 12 string I've ever seen or played away.  If that one wasn't so perfect, I'd have picked up an XII years ago!  Maybe I should grab one before they get any pricier... ???
