1961 Jazzmaster

Post by hiscoxfamily » Sun Feb 18, 2024 10:03 pm

I have a 61 Jazzmaster that i've had in storage for over 40 years.

I'll be 80 in Oct so time to get rid of some stuff. I noticed it has a weird little decal of a man and woman on the neck stock near the
off set body decal. It appears to be under the lacquer.
Any one have any idea on this. I bought the guitar in Canada in the 70s but never used it much.
Here's some photos

It’s most likely the neck was resprayed at some point because all the decals on Fenders were applied over the finish. They didn’t start putting them under the finish until around the late 60s onwards.

Photos will help the most.

To embed photos on this site, you have to host them somewhere else and then link them with proper code in the icons above a post For instance, <imagetag>http://www.mysite.com/picture1.jpg</imagetag>

You also could upload them to a few image hosting service such as Imgur, Flickr, google drive, etc and just include the link in a post.

Hope that helps.
