Vintage guitar collection Jazzmasters Jaguars

Post by supersonicjazzmaster » Thu Dec 21, 2023 2:43 am

People,

this hint is just for people who maybe are interested in it.
I don´t know the seller... (unfortunately)
I just discovered a bunch of vintage guitars for sale at "kleinanzeigen" here in Germany.
From 1959 Jazzmaster to other wonderful Jaguars... :?
The seller is writing that the guitars are from the estate from his died father..

They look good at first sight. If they are refinished it´s in the descritiption.
Prices: Oh... Maybe he is going down with something?

To drive by and look at them it´s too far from me...

but check out:

Yes! ...also my first thought... :w00t: :w00t:

The prices seem a bit too high to me... but unfortunately not sooo unrealistic... :(

I've watching these as well. And he just keeps adding more and more. Wild.
Beautiful instruments for sure.

Yes, this is definitely too much.
I like especially this refin white 61 Jazzmaster...
but it´s also refretted.
AND the pickups are from 1968...

This is in the quote in about 4-6k normally? or less?

Is it weird to say I don't really like any of them?

I love B&B and Lake Placid Blue but... maybe it's the light? Maybe the prices are just so ridiculous I'll never get close so it generates sub concious scorn. But none of those really float my boat, despite obviously being incredible.

Oh, I just took a peek and that lighting is terrible! It's like it's in a cave and they were like "WOO! We have two candles to light this photoshoot!". :D

There is an unwritten rule: The rarer the custom colour offset is, the worse the camera used and lighting conditions get. :D

That was the value before COVID. I guess now the market value is rather around 10k for a properly refinished Slabboard JM., unfortunately.
