Identify vintage Framus

Hi everyone,

a friend of a friend found this old Framus in the attic, I'm trying to identify it to see what it's worth.

I think it's a Framus Strato 5/168-52 and although most of them have slanted pickups, it looks all original to me. The scarf joint looks very rough though, maybe it was reglued at some point? Any way to date this?

What do you think this is worth? Online prices for vintage Framus guitars seem to be all over the place. We're in Europe for reference.

Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

Definitely looks like a Strato of some kind.
I love old Framus stuff.

Yes, it's a Strato deluxe. Looks great in red I'd say! It's an early model, still with mahogany neck and you're right, the scarf joint is a weak spot that needed attention at some point.
Date stamp indicates December 1963. Looks like some script below? Handwritten or printed, hard to tell. The 4 figure prices some people claim are not realistic I think.

I hadn't notices that yet. I haven't seen the guitar in real life, just these pics, but zooming in I think it might say "Strato 5"
