NGD: 1965 sunburst jaguar

Post by clintburgess » Wed Oct 18, 2023 1:07 pm

So I've been spending a bit more time in the forum than I use to and decided I should show my latest vintage jaguar. I've owned 6 vintage jags over the last 25 years. They've ranged from 64'-66'. I've loved them all and as many of you can understand, I'll forever feel like I shouldn't have sold any of them. That being said, life takes us different places sometimes and the gear can't come along...

This is my current 1965 sunburst jaguar. All original, except for the buzz stop. This isn't a sexy custom color (will post pics of one of my former jags in that catagory some other time) but it plays great, has the neck profile I prefer and the pickups are splendid. Hope you enjoy and thanks for being a rad online community. There's so many incredible people, guitars and vibes happening here.

Cheers,
Clint

Very, very tasty. Your camera seems to be blowing out the highlights a bit, is it set to overexpose a stop or two? Always happens to me, I find I have bumped the dial after way too long.

Thanks for the taste rating on this one πŸ™Œ The shots that are more blown out have a filter on them. Artsy burst vs. the first pic just straight outta camera. I get what you're saying though, I need to grab some unedited captures so the checking and other bits on the jag are more clear.

I'm a word nerd for sure. Honest play wear is beautiful on this jag, as you noted. It had been 12 years since I had a vintage jaguar, there's just something about these old instruments that's inspiring. I'm more than stoked to have this gorgeous classic fender in my possession now.

OH MAN! That is a stunning burst! Outstanding '62 you've got there my man. And yes, the wear on the back is a definitely a tell with these old guitars. Thanks for sharing the pic!
