Best place to sell Jazzmaster / XII collection and values?

Post by reserves » Tue Sep 19, 2023 1:33 am

Hey,

I'm looking to possibly sell my collection of Jazzmasters, I'm in the UK.

Where's the best place to sell these days and also can anyone offer me some guide prices, I'm a little out of touch.

1960 Sunburst all original (cracked pickguard)

1977 Sunburst all original (checkered lacquer)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1963 Olympic White refin, believe neck has been be flattened, new jumbo frets, non original tuners

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1963 Olympic white, believed to be refinished, matching headstock, original white guard but has a hole drilled in, plays amazing.

Also a 1966 X11 Sunburst which I believe maybe a refin.

Many thanks

UK market I'd say, approx:

1960 £10000-13000
1977 £3500
1963 white £6000 depending on mods
1963 white matching headstock £6-8000 depending on mods
XII hard to say without more info or pictures but maybe £5-7000?

We'd need to see more in depth pictures to be sure
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Thanks, I'll get some pictures taken and upload them here, some of these guitars have been loaned out to friends so don't have them all with me.

Refinished sunburst XII in the UK£3500.
1960 Jazzmaster £9000
1963 Jazzmaster refinishes with mods £5000 (matching headstock or not its a modded refin)
1977 Jazzmaster £4000

Those are prices I would put them up for if you actually wanted a chance of selling them, but its a bad time to sell in the UK, nothing is moving at the moment.

PS that 1960 jazzmaster..the finish looks too shiny, possible it was lacquered over which will reduce the value.

Best place to sell them is on here in the ads, or on facebook or something if you don't want to pay any fees. Then its the normal Ebay/reverb route.

Thank you, very helpful! Just having a guide is really useful.

Luckily I’m not being forced to sell them, but at the same time I’m not using them, I have accumulated a lot of stuff over the years. I have a few Bassman amps and also various pedals like the old Electro Harmonix ones.

Just feels like the right time if that makes sense.

No problem...I'm the same, I have a ton of gear. One day I will bite the bullet and sell it.
