There seems to be some sort of square where belt buckle wear is but I don't see a difference unless its under black light. My brother said that a protective pad may have been put there for a period of time to protect it. Makes some what since for it being somewhat sense since the rectangle area seems to be less exposed to the UV light compared to the rest of the guitar. What do you guys think?

Also did fender usually paint custom colors throughout the trem cavity?

Agreed.

Also dude, don't tease us with backside photos. We need the front too!

Yes, having paint in the trem cavity is correct.

However, an original nitro finish would glow green under a blacklight...

Eddie Vegas' site disagrees: "Custom color PRE CBS Strat's do not Glow under Black Light.. Because No Clear Nitro was sprayed over top."

It might just be the photo angle, but the sides of the trem cavity look a bit wobbly, like they might have been manually widened before painting. Am i seeing things, or is this normal?

I believe the corners of the trem cavity were squared off by hand with a chisel so they're often quite rough looking.

also, if it was a sticker, perhaps it pulled some of the finish off when it was removed. I notice the wear in that area could be explained a bit by that :)
