Looks very late 60s or 70s, more likely 70s from the 2 extra holes in the neck pocket. If reading the stamp correctly in fact it's from 1976

Looks like it has a forearm contour and a pin-routed body (no 'ears' on the pocket) ; it's hard to tell from the grain in the neck pocket, but looks more 'complex' than poplar so possibly ash? Those are indicators of mid-seventies; I would agree with '76 .

60's bodies were either slabs (no contours) in red, white, or blue nitro ('64-'68), or contoured competition colours (blue, which was called "burgundy", red, or orange) from '68-'69 in poly. The competition colours continued in the early 70's, just to avoid confusion from the way I phrased that.

The clear coats on the poly Mustangs darkened/yellowed dramatically, whereas the 60's slab nitro paint jobs often lacked a clear coat entirely for cost-cutting reasons and underwent less of a colour change.

In any case, that's a nice-looking 70's body.

Killer score!! I love the color. I'm seeing neck pocket stamps consistent with mid 1970s and plastic coated ground wire (post '69 or so). Great guitar!
