Good parchment pickguard for 1963 Jag
As the title says. I’m looking for a good parchment guard for my vintage jag. Any suggestions?

Spitfire makes mint guards that are the best vintage reproductions I’ve seen.
great OSG deals with: ncarey13, skip.
great TGP deals with: drjoel, 12strings, Tim P, angrybandnerd, echobaseone, guitarpkr67, jcampbell331

Well it looks like it's going to a mint guard after all. Anyone use these? Looks like they do the correct bevel.

What colour's your guitar?
So long as it's the right kind of mint you'll be golden. I see very little difference between parchment & the original vintage guards. It's only when the repros become a bit too "cool blue" that they look wrong.
One thing I have seen though, from experience. Guards that are treated with a tinted clearcoat can change colour pretty rapidly. I can't speak specifically about mint but a parchment guard I had set up for my old Tele project ended up turning almost butterscotch. Half of it was sticking out of a box, sat in the sun without me realising, so you could still see the original colour (from the section hidden from the sunlight).
The guard that eventually went on the guitar, again parchment, hasn't changed at all so I'm guessing it wasn't tinted. Hopefully yours will be fine.

You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.
