About 15 years ago, I bought a LPB ‘ 66 Jag. Thing was absolutely mint. Had a letter from the orig owner describing how it had only been used sparingly for a few years, then stored in a closet from 1970 forward. Still had the factory shine on it. Came with everything. Booklets, orig polishing cloth, strap, and according to the orig owner, the original flat-wound strings. Now that still doesn’t prove they were the original strings, but let me tell you, those strings were OLD and they were very high quality. Given the totality of condition, I had little reason to doubt the orig owner. These things are out there.
Btw, great video eggwheat. This must have been a special one having gone back to the factory after the sparkle job for the decal.
