Got word of this guitar from a buddy. He had heard from a guy that a pawn shop in a tiny town about an hour from me had an old Fender. Turned out to be a 1966 Mustang in nice original shape with original case too! $600 cash and I took it home. Loving it!
I had considered selling it to help fund a Jaguar purchase... But decided I'd just be in the market for another Mustang after that
and I know I wouldn't find another in this kind of condition for the amount I paid.
Also, it has the SWEETEST checking!

I wish you could buy a vintage mustang for 600$ over here aswell! Great find and beautiful checking.

It was just lucky that a small pawn shop had it, they don't usually go for that unless seriously altered. My buddy found a 71 strat for $500 in a pawn shop! I also have a '66 Coronado I that was a pawn shop find. It's junk 98% of the time, but occasionally have some really nice instruments.

Yeah man! It does great through the 1484 too! Sounds great with a mild overdrive.

Holy smokes great find! The checking on the back is amazing.
and I know I wouldn't find another in this kind of condition for the amount I paid.
