Re: Fake or real?
I've seen that listing a while ago. It looks to be original except for a very obvious body and neck refin. The neck sports a horrible decal that includes the words "Venus bold extended". That is the name of the used font, an egregious mistake by whoever made/applied the decal. In a prior listing for that guitar the seller said in the description that it's actually a prototype decal from 1962 (when there were no mustangs) and some bullshit about leftover parts. When called out about it he was a pretty angry dick, insulting prospective buyers left and right. Now I see that he doesn't clarify a thing about the refin or decal and the listing has less pictures and almost no description only than "all original" If he's not acknowledging the refinish and ridiculous decal, who knows what else he's fishy about. I would stay the fuck away. It's not worth to take a gamble for that kind of money with that kind of asshole of a seller.

That is just wonderful. Best head stock decal of all time.
Logic gates based on billiard-ball computer designs have also been made to operate using live soldier crabs of the species Mictyris guinotae in place of the billiard balls.

Re: Fake or real?
The listing is in Argentina, the asking price is the equivalent to about 2150 USD. Somewhat high, but not a crazy price to ask for a 65 in this part of the world, even if it's a refin. If this thing was about 1500 and the seller was straight about it, someone would have jumped on it. But the guy denying it, making up prototype stories and being overall unpleasant to deal with are a deal breaker to most people.Sauerkraut wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 11:48 pmwho the hell would pay that kind of money for a Mustang?!
"Mustang Venus Bold" LOL . Maybe it's from a 50 yr old prototype squier venus?
