NGD '63 Fender Jaguar
Latest acquisition and fulfilled dream: 1963 Fender Jaguar (refinished in Olympic White) - the neck is an outstanding mid '60s C-shape, which is super comfortable for my big ol' hands. I just put in some new Jensen speakers (temporary until I can get the original '62 Jensen speakers re-coned) in the '62 Fender Bassman. I gave the Bassman a test drive with the '63 Jag - absolutely wonderful tones.
The far superior images are from the seller's listing on Reverb and the mediocre images are from me - sorry, it's gloomy outside so I took the photos with my overhead lighting in my man cave (also, I put on a Mustang bridge). Last couple of photos are of it nestled in-between my '63 Fender Jazzmaster and Fender Johnny Marr Signature Jaguar:

Oh man, that's beatiful!
Did the stock bridge give you any problems or do you just prefer mustang bridges?

Thanks! I prefer Mustang bridges. I hang onto the stock bridge if I ever have to move the Jag on in (hopefully) the very far future.

Damn, that's a fine-lookin' Jag! Love the tort, too.
Is that a headstock repair I see on the back? Or just part of the grain?

I initially thought it was the grain, but actually, it's really hard to tell from my unexperienced eye. It's possibly a repair. If it was a repair, it's done very well. I can contact the seller to find out.
* Just checked the listing - there is no mention of a repaired headstock but I'll follow up with the seller.

If it is a repair, it looks to be done extremely professionally, and doesn't appear run through any areas of structural significance (down to the nut, or over to the tuners). Just thought I'd point it out. Not trying to rain on any parades!!Snorre wrote: ↑Mon May 07, 2018 8:21 amI initially thought it was the grain, but actually, it's really hard to tell from my unexperienced eye. It's all good! I thought it was the grain, too, until I noticed the line in question sort of loops around the headstock...yeah, for a 55 year old guitar, a repaired headstock just adds character.

To quote Professor Farnsworth, "Good news, everyone!" I got a reply from the seller, Paul from Fiesta Finishes, and he assured me it is indeed the grain that we are seeing. He said he would absolutely disclose if any repair work had been done. It wouldn't have bothered me too much if it was repair work but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was glad to hear it is awesome grain!

Great Jaguar! I remember seeing this for sale. Still love my '63 to death. What a great year for Jags!
Yours is so early too. Very cool.

Re: NGD '63 Fender Jaguar
That's an incredible looking Jag. I can tell you bought this from fiesta finishes. Their prices are fair and their refinishing work looks great. I'm happy to know they are reputable sellers, since I've bought a lovely worn 65 Jag from them (which I won't have for another several months, living abroad and all). In any case, your Jaguar is fantastic. That black fretboard and them clay dots are just to die for. How does the neck feel? Nut width? Congrats on your NGD and your awesome offset collection.
