So. I guy listed this thing on a local guitar group and I was excited to try to get but didn't hadvethe money. I had an Epiphone Casino that I was trying to sell for months without luck.
Today I got a phone call and sold the Casino, so I called the Ibanez guy and imediatelly went there to get the guitar.
It's a Ibanez 1971 "Jazzmaster". Also know as Kevin Shields "Only Shallow" guitar. Apparently is pretty rare.
First impressions are:
Heavy as fuck, probably mahogany or some other really dense wood.
Sounds excelent
Plays better than I expected
Looks awesome!
I was planning to put some lollar Goldfoils on it but I'm probably leave the original Maxon pickups in it. They sound really good.

(I'm not having any success trying to attach pictures, so that's the link of them, sorry).

HNGD! Cool! Yeah, those pickups are probably the best thing about that model. It would be too bad to swap them.

Cool, mine was a bit more beat up. Amazing sound, killer weight.
I was happy to pass it onto another OSGer

Good score, these guitars always seem to get favourable comments. Nice to hear the other posters chiming in about the pickups, I have some that came from one of these guitars that had been given the Sonic Youth treatment with WRHBs etc. Never tried them out, must do so.

Very cool. This must be quite rare. I used to collect vintage Ibanez and have never seen one before!
