So I had the Gibson bug lately. Never was really interested, it was fender all the way for me (and vintage Yamaha's).
But my music taste has changed a bit, and I'm more into the stuff again I was once into when my love for music started. I guess just more of the
60's & 70's garage rock, surf, swamp-blues.
So now I'm gassing for a walnut coloured humbucking 70's beast that screams long hair, no showers, tractorpulling and beer throwing.
I had my eyes on a The Sg or a The Paul but while searching the web my eye fell for a Guild nature boy and a S200.
I'm just wondering what to expect with these guitars. I saw a lot of complaints about that the necks are strange, but what is strange?
I'm just looking for opinions, experiences and photos.

Re: Vintage Guild S-series
I'm not experienced with the S200 first hand, but the S100/S90 guitars I've played have been great. (And Soundgarden-approved if that matters). I really like the Guild pickups (as in Starfires, etc).
The vintage S200 has a built in stand (!).

Re: Vintage Guild S-series
I have had a couple of Guild guitars they are great.
The Guild HB-1 Humbuckers sound really good.
I haven't owned an S200,but I have had some other Guilds which were all great playing / sounding.

Re: Vintage Guild S-series
Thanks for all the replies.
I just found out the Guild S-100 I found online has non original pickups.
So I'll keep my eyes out for the future. They sound very cool.
Or maybe a The Paul....
