NGD 66 jag D+B
I got a new jaguar! Well, new for me atleast. It's a 1966 refin, was originally sunburst. The refinish is professional and I'm guessing pretty old. Possibly nitro. I guess it's pretty close to an aged aztec gold, but not quite. I think it looks pretty great, especially with the tort guard. Not the original case, replaced tuners and new bridge saddles. Internally its 100 percent original, 6545 pots and the neckstamp reads JAN66. There's a signature in the trem cavity, but I can't tell what it says. I'll look into it further next time I take it apart. I'll post some photos below.

Congrats. I’ve owned two ‘66 jags, an early d&b like yours and a late (NOV) b&b. Both were great.

beautiful..another fan of the color here!
Actually, I'm surprised no-one mentioned the pickguard on this sometimes 'tort-obsessed' site ! With the little 'squiggle' above the bass pickup & the large 'patch' below the lead pickup, you'd be able to pick your guitar out of a lineup of gold D & B Jaguars from the other side of the room!
Very cool guitar, congrats & enjoy.
Jeff.

Thanks Jeff! Haha, well maybe it's because this one actually doesn't need more tort! If it didn't already have it, I'm sure there would be tons of "needs tort" comments. It's a gorgeous pg, looks even better in person.jeff m. wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 12:15 pmbeautiful..another fan of the color here!
