Sure Is The Best Guitar For Getting Jazzmaster Tones from, Without A Doubt.

Jazzmasters sold better than Strats or Teles until Leo left Fender in 1965. They were a very popular and successful guitar in their day. This point is always overlooked. Some Jazz guitarists did use them, but they were more popular for other genres at the time (surf, rockabilly, etc).

The same can be said for Jaguars, though they had only a few years of popularity (62-65) in which they outsold Strats and Teles.

This contradicts what I know about the JM, which is that it didn't sell well at all until over a decade later when it began seeing use in other genres. Can you tell me where your info comes from? If i'm wrong I don't want to spread bad info around.

FenderJazzmaster is THE best electric guitar ever produce... I am not monogamous, I play other guitars, but I am not polyamory, the Jazzmaster is my prefered guitar, I always came back to her.

In all its simplicity, I think a Telecaster beats any other electric guitar. It is like the archetype.

But when it comes to what I like the most, it will always be the Jaguar and Jazzmaster. I love how they look, the comfortable body shapes, the behind-the-bridge sounds, the oversized pick guards, that nasty trem and bridge system... and a lot of my favourite guitarists used one of those models.
