my rexter-refin'd `65 Jazzy (ex-Pinky)
well last week i got my ole ex-Pinky Jazzy back from rexter, who did an INCREDIBLE refin!
loving it SO much, and happy to see it wearing down litte by little over the next years. it's like NGD but it feels like my faithful old friend who has been with me thru many years and amazing gigs.
thanks man, this dude is HIGHLY recommended by teh Pat.
...and now... PRONZ:
depending on the light angle, it might shimmer in different shades of red... LOVE IT!!!
Happy Holidays, u live u all!

NICE! That's gold undercoat, right? (side note: did I tell you about my pure hate relationship with Raufasertapete ? )

A Japanese body with a vintage neck and hardware, right?
That looks very nice Pat!
Did you bump the lower bout allready?
Jon told me he was gonna distress the finish of yours lightly. Did he in the end, or did you change your mind? Apart from that apparant hit, the finish looks all shiny and new.
I like it a lot! I hope my silver undercoat CAR will look as nice as yours!
have fun with it!

no, the body is original 60s, too.... only looks new now!
yeah he tried doing a bit of relicing, but apparently it just wouldn't happen (crackling) and such. and maybe a got a bit too giddy so it was sort of aborted. bumps and legit relic is gonna be happening, so no need to rush it!
curious how yours will end up. i'm very happy with mine!
rock on!

Hey Pat happy new year! Thanks for the kind words, really cool to see it all back together!
The gold undercoat on this one is insanely sparkly in the light right?! Gives it an orangey tone sometimes, I liked how it came out, glad you’re happy!
I think the lacquer will craze and check in time, definitely, but perhaps it just wasn’t ready when I tried, even after a long curing period. Something to do with the combination of lacquers and thinners I used for the candy jobs maybe, though the strat I did got a crazy amount of checking on it.
I also need to get a huge chest freezer for doing that kind of thing as I keep getting in trouble for removing the food from ours and putting guitar bodies in it...

This is just gorgeous. Fine work and. Fine guitar. I had. Strange affinity for the Pepto finish, but I have to admit that this is more beautiful.
