NGD: 1959 Jazzmaster
Added another Goldie to the collection. This thing is so clean. Other than a refret, it is 100% orig.
Plays wonderfully, although to be honest, the frets are a little too new/high compared to my other JM's. A little easier I suppose to do big bends, etc. Toanz are fantastic though. No pencil neck date. Body dates to 5/59 and pots are mid 59. And my homeboy Melly-Mell signed it like a boss. All told, I'm super stoked!! Strung this one up with flat wounds and kept the other '59 with rounds.
and--here's an updated pic of the harem:

How's it sound through the Hiwatt, Bob?
Looks so clean. A fine specimen! How close are the two neck profiles/thicknesses between the '59s?

Sounds awesome--especially through the tweeds too!
The neck profiles are very similar and very similar to my early '65 sunburst--which is a slightly thinner taper compared to my '62 and '66's--which are beefier at the nut.

Even with all those amazing Jazzmasters, my eyes still go straight to the Firebirds.
