Congrats on the jag even with replacement pups. I had a similar experience with the creamery. We chatted about pickup requirements, he said he'd get back to me when it was time to pay and never did. I also have a mate who had a similar experience i.e. Discussed requirements or a custom build and then silence. That was probably June July this year if remember. Probably not indicative of anything more than he's either flat out or just busy enough with orders through the shop to keep on top. I haven't heard any other poor reviews online but maybe something to be aware of. I ended up going with Mojo who are also UK based and recommend them highly.Colin wrote:Decided on the Creamery pickups as I've heard really good things and they are fairly local, kinda. I messaged the guy about the pickups and everything seems good for him to do them for me and he said he will send me an invoice, however that was almost a month ago and still no invoice. I appreciate he must be really busy but a month to just write the invoice before he even makes a start on the pickups is a bit long, no? Or am I just being too impatient?

Creamery just relaunched the website. You could just place an order, pay through paypal and specify custom options in the order notes or something. If there's extra costs to be paid I'm sure they'll chase you for them after the order's made.

So I've opted for Mojo Jaguar pickups and I've got my guy looking at the internal wiring and installing them and basically getting it all setup. My new quandary is what to do with the tremolo situation as I don't have a trem arm, Is a Staytrem bar and collet my best option do you think? I don't fancy paying over a hundred quid for an original.

Yes, Staytrem is the best option for sure. Also, do let us know how you like the Mojo Jag pickups (perhaps some sound clips it possible?). I have a set of Mojo Jazzmaster pickups in my main JM and they are great. Very curious about Mojo Jag pickups.Colin wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 7:24 amSo I've opted for Mojo Jaguar pickups and I've got my guy looking at the internal wiring and installing them and basically getting it all setup. Just another +1 for the StayTrem arm.
I switched out the repro arm & collet on my '59 Jazzmaster for one & it's a fantastic upgrade. The arm stays wherever you leave it & looks identical to a vintage arm.

You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

Reassuring to hear guys! I've decided on the Staytrem collet and trem, I had already opted for a Mastery bridge, plus the Mojo pickups are being installed as we speak. Should hopefully have the jag back in the next wee while. Will keep you updated.

So the 64 Jaguar is now finished, Mojo Pickups installed, Staytrem collet and trem and Mastery Bridge now feature too. Electrics have been looked at too, all in all this guitar plays like a dream now and I can't stop playing it! Heres some crap pics I took with my phone. Will try and get a sound clip up at some point.
