So I strolled into my local Goodwill today, as I often do, and found this guy sitting behind the counter.
It is missing the last 3 frets and the neck is coming off the body (not to mention it came with about a pound of free dust), but for $25 I figured it was worth a try at salvaging it.
Her's the neck:
There's no date code that I can find anywhere inside, but the serial number indicates it's an H922. Best I can tell from the internets, it's an early 60s model, but apparently they made them all the way back to the 40s (Blind Willie McTell played one).
As a bonus, it included some Top Value stamps and a pirate card from an 80s/90s Old Maid game.
I'm going to have someone look at it and see what they say. Here's hoping it's still got some life left in it!
