Since the original case (!) seems a bit fragile, I picked up one of the fancy new Fender ones and it is really nice and rugged (although the aesthetics are a bit contemporary peacekeeping forces). Recommended.
Some footage of the guitar in action... and an interview with ms. cestlamort.

Re: NGD: 1964 Jaguar (Refin)
I've been playing this one again at home a bunch (still doing mostly 12 string in a band context however) and I'm still really happy with it. Enough so to consider investing in either a body refin to match the headstock or having someone do a tinted coat to add some warmth to the pale white.
Any recommendations for having it redone? Danocaster? MJT?
Local(ish) (PNW) would be great.
Random "upgrade" notes:
I put in a staytrem bridge and it was a nice improvement. No adjustment needed at all, too. Highly recommended.
The fancy Fender "flight" case is really nice. It seems to be well designed (light, sturdy, nice handle) and high quality. (I'm not sure about the plastic latches, but probably fine). The original case is now keeping Kim's old musicmaster bass safe in the closet.

Yeah I was real surprised that the Staytrem I put on my ‘66 Jaguar didn’t need any adjustments at all; perfect height, perfect intonation. It’s awesome.

What's your goal in refinishing the body? To make it match the yellowing of the headstock? If so, an overspray of tinted clear lacquer could do the trick; much less pricey than a strip and refinish job. I think it looks great as-is, but a quick overspray to match the yellowing would look ace.

Exactly. Just to better match the headstock. The contrast now between body and headstock is pretty stark, even at a distance.mbene085 wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 2:06 pmWhat's your goal in refinishing the body? There body finish does have some checking however, which might be weird if overprayed (?)
