Nitro or poly?

When I was sourcing the paint for my tele project (that somehow turned out off black) I saw a Land Rover Discover painted in a very similar shade. Maybe a bit to green though, I'm not sure. I can't remember the name of it but David chimed in & let me know.

This might be it.

EDIT - I think it might've been a Range Rover & the colour was Ardenne Green. Good from some angles, too green from others.

It really is a special colour. When the greening of the clear coat happens, it turns into a colour that I just cannot stop looking at. What a great guitar!
Thank you! You can really seen the green in these pictures

I'm no expert but I suspect a yellowed clear coat on top is what gives it the greenish look.

I could swear that there's a thread about yellowing CFM.

Beautiful jag in any case. Wow!
This is an excellent rectangle

A user on here named Jazzprod has done some really good CFM refins I'm pretty sure.

Really nice guitar!

As N0_Camping4U says, I've done a number of CFM with and without a amber clear coat. IMHO each has it's own charm. The Jazzmaster was refinished with only a few coats of amber clear one (or two? I can't remember..) year(s) before the Jaguar that has no amber clear coat. They do get green with age a lot faster than you'd think..

Do you have a photograoh of the neck pocket or under the guard? The edge of the headstock looks like it has RED round it. Maybe this was CFM over CAR or other red?

I think it was maybe some of the case fuzz that made it look red. Here's more pics. It blacklights and everything checks out
