The pink Jazzmaster is no longer! (now with photo links!)
After a multi month wait, I picked up my refinished '78 Jazzmaster this weekend. The finish is perfect... Olympic White slightly aged to vanilla-banana pudding yellow. Also included in the makeover is a Spitfire pickgaurd and Staytrem bridge. The first photo is way I started with.

None of the photos are visible. Might be due to us not having access to your google photos.

As far as I know, Imgur is the easiest host to work with.

Great job! Initially had the same thoughts as soggy mittens (not the shell pink!!!) but that hot pink was totally brutal. Was that hot pink done during the '80s?

FANTASTIC WORK. Usually love pink but you made the right call. Very classy.

i know it sounds silly but you should put on more vintage-y looking pickups covers. the bright white ones are blinding!

Looks great! Love the hue of 'vintage' white you chose. I personally like the white pickup covers with this finish. If they get too close to the same hue as the body finish it would look strange.

Well done man! While the hot pink was funky and a rarity, now it's just a drop dead gorgeous jazzmaster.

I'd have kept the pink and just replaced the hardware. That pink is so bad, that it's already great again.

from an extern point of view I can understand your reasoning but just imagine you have to look at this color every day!p.eat wrote:I'd have kept the pink and just replaced the hardware. That pink is so bad, that it's already great again.
I'd begin to feel plastic myself.
The color you chose, Dibiaso, isn't the most adventurous one, but after the pink horror, I can understand this choice perfectly.
In fact, Olympic white is one of the colors I like best for Jazzmasters.
It struck me how much whiter the pickup covers seem after the refin.
Is this just a photographic side effect because they contrast with the slightly darker olympic white, or did you actually change them?
Anyway, I think you have a very pleasing Jazzmaster now.

That looks really great. I liked the pink but the white is classic.

That pink was so awesome, it makes me feel slightly inadequate.
All pain and troubles melted away like lemon drops beyond the contrails across the sky.
