You should be allowed to do that, but bear in mind, if it just happens that you get the urge to do so for ten different guitars within an hour or so, people would tend to construe that as post padding. I am semi serious, but I don't think it's that strange for a new member to react in that way to so many beautiful instruments that can be seen on the forum - I know I did :)

it's all about common sense, and appying generous amounts of it. :)

It strikes me the spirit motivating this rule is what has helped to engender the strength of community that I've seen here looking around in the past few days. It's a smart idea, and I think it's a clever way to help build trust among people who in all likelihood have never or will never meet in person. Also, the dressing room feature here is very cool.

I understand the rule. It makes perfect sense. I also know as annoying as it is you have to be patient with new users. I myself have never been part of a forum and realize its alot to take in.

It's easier to trust someone who's been legitimately active on the board, rather than someone who just goes "Yeah, cool."

It's a piece of mind thing.
agreed, I trust soo many of the guys on here who I've been in contact with for a long time. I would just buy off someone new who I didn't know.
I think people could make the trustworthy judgment without it, you see a name you dont recognise because they dont actually post, or one you've seen around alot. are there really that many people so eager to get into the for sale section, just seems to me if they are here to sell then we could be missing out on some good listings, if they are here to buy then members could miss out on a good price, with paypal these days there really isnt much risk in online purchases anymore anyway
