Reverb and Delay for drums
My drummer is using an acoustic sidesnare with effects for dub styles. He uses a Shure SM57 into a Kaoss Pad 3. He wants to improve the quality of reverbs and delays and is looking for the right device. I suggested the Zoom G3. What else comes to your mind? Abbility to do reverb and delay simultanously and to save presets is important.

Maybe something by Line6? Pods (including the bass versions) come up all the time for next to nothing and have decent effects. Rather than mic'ing up an acoustic snare your friend could maybe think about buying some sort of syndrum pad thing that could possibly offer more timbres as a starting point too.
