Yeah, I've watched most of them by now. Sounds great!
Unfortunately it was offered as fully working, but turns out it has faulty chips that are impossible to source. Replacement workaround circuits are available, but even as a DIY fix it'd be too expensive.
I already own a broken Crumar Performer... So maybe some other time.

Yeh, plus that one is supposed to be huge and weigh a ton. Every time I switch my gear on there's usually some kind of problem...that's the downside for sure.

i just spent the evening fixing my Prophet VS(developed a switch matrix fault). I'd have spent thousands on repairs over the years if I couldn't do it myself.

Good point. The lambda is more of a piece of furniture- it's huge indeed.
I'm on holiday right now. If it's still for sale when I get back home I'll see.
Maybe for a good price just to play around trying to come up with a clever fix...

The other day I picked up an old JEN SM2007 String Machine and MAN I love it!!! So creamy!
Apparently it's one of the first string synths and quite rare, I've read...?

The only synths I've ever owned(besides Roland gr-20) were a Yamaha dx7 I got from pawn shop for $100 and an akai ax-60 I got from my neighbor for mowing his lawn. I sold the dx7 for $200 and the akai... I was an idiot and sold for $300 WITH a 3 tier stand. I wish I could find another ax-60 but they're in the $800 price range now.

Yes, I know. At this point, though, digital can sound "analog" enough that being subtractive and knob based is really just as good.

I think it would be close enough for me at least.

I had the streichfett for about 2 years. It's pretty good but I sold it. I didn't like how it has a wash of white noise/hiss after the decay. You probably wouldn't notice it most of the time except in a recording situation where the strings fade out at the end of a song or during a break in the middle. I have a song that has a few breaks and the hiss just bugged me too much.

I have a real mk1 Solina that nothing else can seem to match in a recording... but luckily I'm capable of repairing it if and when it needs it. They're a huge pain in the dick to repair... spaghetti wire city.
Sometimes I want to sell it but I know i'll regret it.
