There will be 500 for Moogfest, but after that a regular release, so no worries.
Well, that ruined my perfectly good "WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?"

I'm happy to hear that. I couldn't find any limited run of 500 info anywhere and was starting to feels slight pangs of Fear Of Missing Out. :o

Will the limited and regular look the same, or is the Moogfest one a special color scheme or something like that?

The 500 units for Moogfest are kind of a pre-release. I guess you will have to wait a few weeks for the regular batch but it will be exactly the same synth if I understood it correctly. I was into buying a Sub Phatty and the Grandmother distracted my plans pretty hard so I read almost every bit in the internet about it... :fp:

Interesting beasts..don't really sound like a Moog though, due it being designed by another company and having an Arp filter design.

Holy shit.
Don't buy one of these. This thing was the BIGGEST Pain in the Ass I've ever worked on. Taking it apart and putting it back together SUUUCKED.

Noted! Thanks for saving me from a wine-fueled impulse buy! :D

I just bought a Moog Sub 37. It makes me feel like a little boy like when I got my first electric guitar. It was a red Squier Strat and I used to take it in my bed when I went to sleep and cuddled it like a teddy bear. I'm twentyfive years older now but with this synth I'm equally obsessed. I'm just glad I put it in my practice room the day I got it - it would be hard to explain to my girlfriend why I'm cuddling a synthesizer... :D
No kidding, this is seriously something special to me. :-*

OK. That's it. I'm trading way my Bob Moog Tribute Edition Little Phatty for one.

I got a Novation Peak, and it is phenominal. Really good companion piece to my Prophet. Makes great smooshy pads.

A few years ago I bought a Nord Electro 3 for my band. It stayed in the practice space, but my 'band' is basically on life support in a coma at this point, so I brought it home. It's pretty crazy what these things can do. Now if only I could have a Matrix-like brain download on how to really play keyboards and synths. :fp:

Jag, you can do it. Keyboards are easy. Piano is hard. Take it slow, learn a few chords, and just have fun. You already probably know your guitar chords and chords for songs, so just learn the keyboard equivalents of those and learn to navigate the keys that way. Trust me, you can do it.

Yeah, to be honest now that I’ve spent a few months playing synths and keyboards, it feels much more intuitive than playing the guitar. I still use guitars to play weird tunings and get ideas from there, but keyboards have all but replaced guitars for my songwriting now.
