BLARGH!

I'm losing sleep thinking about which ferrari I need to get.

clearly I should just go fork all my money over to behringer for one synth or another. PolyBoog, here I come :fp:

Behringer. Model. D. Dude.

That and my Juno are the two keyboards I own that every single I time I turn them on I'm glad I have.

Yeah. It’s getting harder and harder to justify spending upwards of $3500 to get my hands on a MiniMoog when the Behringer is sitting there for a fraction of the cost.

Definitely an awesome synth. I wonder about price...? I think it would be a nice companion to my Minimoog. I don't need any new synths (lets be real, I have enough of everything that if I can't be satisfied or make music with any of it, it's not a gear-problem... It's a me-problem)... But I want it.

I think it would be interesting to make an angled table top case for it, almost like an old school desk kind of thing. Hmm...

If that's the onboard reverb they're using in the demo, it sounds really nice. Probably a mode off of the TC Hall of Fame, which is my favourite reverb for synth usage. The Church setting is beautiful and spacious and has a slight detune to the trails that I really quite like and never sounds stale to my ears.

The ARP2600 has never been one of my bucket list synthesizers, but that BARP2600 sure as hell looks like a whole lot of fun and will undoubtedly be affordable.

It has always been a bucket list synth for me (along with the MiniMoog, Juno-60 ((or Jupiter-8)), and Pro One). Count me in.

This might be old news, but I just found out Behringer is cloning my favorite drum machine of all time. I'll be first in line for this one. For the record, I hope all the presets are kept, just for the sake of having them.

Behringer are killing it, as I've said time and time again.

i was initially very intrigued by the Sequential Pro 3. It looks like an excellent machine, and from what i've heard so far, it sounds killer. that being said, my interest has shifted to the Korg Wavestate, since I don't need more subtractive synths. While the demos for the Wavestate haven't quite sold me on some of the sounds (i'm not looking for the Hans Zimmer in a box thing), i have been chatting with some of the guys on GS about it, and it looks like it will be coming with all the waveforms that the Prophet VS came with, and with all the routing and modulation options, plus a joystick, i should be able to scratch my Prophet VS itch and with some clever sound design, get pretty close to the VS sounds i want!

In the meantime, you can get FunkBox to scratch that itch. I play with it all the time. It's a blast.

At least, you are wanting only a 3-osc semimodular synth with a faceplate resembling a sort of 2600. The BARP2600 is nothing close to the real 2600, as the AMSynths modules from which it comes didn't nail the real sound(and they didn't have success, too). They put a lot of stuff (like sync) that originals don't have. If you want an ARP 2600, go and grab a Korg reissue.

Whatever it is, it sure looks like a fun synthesizer to play. If anyone wants to shell out for a real one by all means they still can do so.

Real, shmeal... Who cares? (Obviously some people/nerds... ;) ). If it sounds good, it sounds good and this thing sounds good and I bet it sounds damn close anyhow.

There's still people saying the Behringer Model D sounds nothing like a vintage Minimoog when meanwhile vintage Minimoogs don't even sound alike.

Last time I checked, the Korg reissue was $4k...and completely sold out. I don’t think they plan on making more, so that leaves us with a vintage model at [checks vintage prices] an average of $10k??? Sorry, if it doesn’t sound exactly the same, but it looks like a helluva good time at a cost point that doesn’t require me selling my car to afford it.
