Also the transpose button is your friend if samples recording to C doesn't suit you. Can't say enough good stuff about this wee synth

I decided to plug my Roland SH-2000 in for the first time in a few months.

Wooooah. It is in desperate need of repairs. It's barely an instrument at this point. :fp:

God, I wanted one of those so badly after a friend used them in his band.

Apparently they have to be nylon, so as not to damage the pads but they shall be black!

My Behringer Model D finally arrived. So far... It's alright. I'm not too into the Moog sound it seems, I think, but it doesn't sound bad at all. Like all Moogs, it has a learning curve (at least it does in my mind). Not totally digging the small controls, but that's Euro Rack in general. I'm clumsy and enjoy the spaciousness of my Juno 106.

With that said... I still love my damn Juno 106. It's such a beautiful sound. :-*

There's a lot of sounds to be found in a minimoog but you'll definitely find a better bass tone compared to your Prodigy. 8)

I almost bought a vintage minimoog because the prices have come down a bit. I don't really need it though. For bass, I layer my modded Prodigy with my micromoog. Together those two do everything I would need from an minimoog.

Oh definitely! I like the rawness and simplicity of the Prodigy. But the Minimoog is a lot less of a one trick pony. Naturally I wish it were a "real" Minimoog, but this'll do for now. It does sound great, I just need to adjust to the controls.

^It's cool that it has spring reverb. Why don't more synths come with analog reverb or delay?

I could do without onboard spring reverb (I prefer a bit more spacious for synths), but a nice delay with a tone knob to change it's characteristics is always welcome.

Looks like a great synth and very much in the vein of the MG-1. If they price it right, at around $600, it could really be popular. But with Behringer out there fucking shit up with their clones... I don't know.

I think MSRP is around $900 from what I've been reading.
