That's awesome!!! Got a little 80s-synth/Blade Runner-y in the middle and I loved that!!
thanks for listening! i definitely stayed away from my usual vices so to speak, which is why it sounds different from the usual stuff i produce. but that's part of the reason i enjoyed doing it so much!

Yeah, trying to quote and compliment your music. Last spring we went to a synth expo and they had a birth of the synth museum with working examples of the mellotron and optigan. Very cool, also a large early studio moog.

i set myself the restriction of having a release out before i am done my staycation. i had intended on taking all of the upcoming week... and here it is! 7 days early :D

recorded in under a week on mainly an elektron digitakt on a forced staycation during a worldwide pandemic.
musically quite inspired by thom yorke and autechre.
a big departure from previous material. i tried to not give myself too many restrictions, and i wanted to avoid overthinking things.
gear used: elektron digitakt, nord lead 2, nord modular g1, fender telecaster.

I finally got a chance to listen to this and it's really cool. Good work! If you haven't heard Benge's stuff, particularly Twenty Systems, I think you should check it out. It's very similar in a lot of ways to what you've done.

That would be really cool. I can't even imagine having something musical I wrote be on the radio, in any capacity.

I'm really looking forward to getting deeper into synthesis. You guys all seem to be having such fun lately :)

Picked up an Arturia Microbrute and a Korg Volca Beats in the last two weeks and have been having a blast. This is after years and years of having no real interest in synthesis or electronics of any kind. It's been really nice and kind of a relief to be making music without having the pressure to DO anything with it.

Now to just to figure out how to sync them properly... ???

I’ve been using my Corona-time to learn how to program my Roland Juno Alpha 01. Fantasizing about recording some ethereal songs and whatnot.

Do you have an iPad? There is an editor/programmer app for the Alpha Juno that you can download.
