I try not to take too much into consideration (or at least I consider the source) when I look online for opinions. Frankly, I don't care what the consensus is too much, I care if it works, is reliable, and can easily be replaced. I have some unobtainium in my arsenal (a.k.a hoard) of gear but I also have more or less off the shelf Boss, Ibanez, and EHX pedals that I am more than happy to use. Not that long ago, I would have killed to have even just my lesser gear. So I count my blessings for what I'm not able to afford, either through careful research or buying/trading up. I'm stupidly fortunate.

I'll check out those artists! Thanks for the recommendation. :)

Steven just to add to the artist advice Jon Brooks records under his own name and as The Advisory Circle, he's a bit of a genius IMO.

Most folk would probably say to start with The Advisory Circle - As The Crow flies or maybe Other Channels and under his own name probably Shapwick.

It's always hard to deal in absolutes but there's not many synth artists I follow as closely, he's close to the top of the tree.

Totally agree on gear I'm Boss pedals all the way pretty much.

Thanks for the suggestions, David! I'll check those out. :)

SO, Behringer is now teasing a Pro One clone as well, in the same form factor as the Model D. UGH. But at least they're cheap...

I just got a Juno 106 (as a work bonus, long story) and spent the day restoring it and calibrating it.

I really like it. The alpha Juno saw wave is a tiny bit more aggressive but the bottom end doesn’t sit in the mix as nice as the 106.
The 106 doesn’t get as agressive, percussive or plucky as the 60 but it can make some prettier and shimmery sounds that the 60 can’t.
I’m happy to own one now :-)
I just noticed in your signature where you work. Rosen redid my 106 voice board last spring. Maybe you fixed my 106! If so, many many many thanks.

As for the Behringer Pro-One, if it's $299 I'll likely queue up for the preorder. But that brings me to the Model D. It has superior sound but...I'm likely to continue gigging the Microbrute or my Vermona Mono Lancet. I haven't learned my way around the Model D yet to be able to really quickly dial up different sounds. At home that's cool. On a dark stage half drunk and playing way too fast I know I'm not ready yet to negotiate that with the Model D.

Just traded one of my minikorg 700’s for a near mint Micromoog. This thing is rad. Lots of cool modulation options.

Also I scored a Minikorg 700S (dual VCO version) for super cheap on eBay.
I’m out of control. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What options do I have if I want to use the same speakers/system for my Juno 60 and my turntable? I currently have really cheap speakers, power amp, and pre amp. I'm mostly going to use headphones, but it would be nice to hear it through the speakers for little or no extra investment. Sound quality isn't as important as cheap and reasonable volume for bedroom, and I'd prefer to use one set of speakers over a dedicated keyboard/bass/acoustic amp. While I'm asking, would it kill my SfPR to play juno through it if I avoid the lowest notes? Thanks

I'm just going to go ahead and avoid this entire thread for a bit. Not sure I can handle the GAS.

:D My synth GAS has been a motherfucker for awhile. I'm looking at a new amp next month, and I know I won't be able to buy one for awhile. It still hurts though. Haha.
