stylophone!

Post by haesslich » Fri Dec 25, 2009 9:23 am

i got a stylophone from my girlfriend :-)
it's the new version (not the vintage one). i'm definitely going driving my neighbours crazy. these boxes are so much fun, and i bet the stylophone and the fm3 buddha machine will be best friends...

Great piece of fun. I got one for all my bandmates for Christmas so we can write a stylophone symphony.

My parents got me one for Christmas and i've been annoying my housemates ever since.

I'm particularly partial to holding a single note and using the 'tuning key' on the back to alter the pitch. Loads of fun.

I got one for my brother for Christmas and he didn't put it down all day. They don't call it a pocket synth for nothin'!

I have one of the old school ones and would record with it for fun, but the thing won't intonate. One C is about +50 cents above the other, totally out of key. I'm pissed because my friend Paul's one sounds the same but intonates right. I assume some of the components inside my one have lost their original value or somesuch.

I've got one a stylophone, they are pretty fun, and a good conversation piece, haha

There is a Stylophone 'Beatbox' as well. I've never used one, but it seems like a good match for the keyboard!

I got 'em both:

(here together with my PTP, that I got in the mailbox same day as the Stylophones)

The beatbox is fun, but pretty useless IMO....

I've got to get one! I just became aware of them last week when I seen my friends band using one. Phil

Ooh I wouldn't mind one of these! Heard about them not so long ago, they seem like good fun!

Normal or Beatbox though? Hmmm.... :freako:
