Hey, Pat - did I mention already that I have one of these bad boys too? Mine is branded Bentley, though. The band Bentley Rhythm Ace is named after that machine.

I have a Roland R-70 and a Oberheim DX Stretch too..If pushed I'd probably say the Roland CR-78 is my favourite.

Hey, anyone know what drum machine was used on the first Suicide album?  It's totally trashy but I'm curious...

FUUUUUUUUUUUU

Want.

For drum machines myself I just use the default Impulse drums on Ableton. They sound so tacky. Which therefore means awesome. And they sound awesome if you reverb and overdrive them to fuck.
Don't you know that's sinful boy?

For all of the later records, the machines used were sampling drum machines (ie the Akai's and the emu sp series) therfore the machines didn't actually contain the sounds used. I have an electribe:

I like how all the sounds are fully editable, rather than just choosing between different kits. Also it was cheap (can't afford to even look at 808s).

I also picked this up a few years ago:

No kind of sequencing, but it's useful in the studio.

If I had the money though, I'd skip the 808 and go straight for a Vermona.
