Fender Pedal Bass (foot operated organ)

Post by invisible man » Sun Aug 05, 2018 8:45 am

I've had this for a while, haven't posted it yet. Late 60s or early 70s Fender Pedal Bass, one octave monophonic Bass organ. Four voices: Major Bass, Bass flute, flute, string bass. Combine voices in any combination, plus sustain. Sustain doesn't last very long. Like almost all my gear, needs repair or restoration work, awaiting the day I have more financial freedom to do so. Two prong cord, loud buzz. Most of the info about these online is on Zeppelin related pages because John Paul Jones used one of these in early Zep before he switched to Moog Taurus. You can see it briefly being played on the Zep live DVD set on "That's The Way". Here's mine:

Here's some info on a Zep page with a Fender catalog image:http://www.led-zeppelin.org/62-referenc ... pedal-bass
Zep is cool, but I can imagine some other drone/electro/post-rock uses for it
