Sounds great!! :-* :w00t: :-*

That's one of the songs that made me fall in love with the Rhodes as well, but if I had to point to one specific thing that became THE Rhodes 'sound' for me, it would have to be Bob James - You're As Right As Rain. My dad had this record when I was a kid, and I used to play it on my little Fisher Price record player in my room as I drew or played with Legos. I must have been no more than 5 or 6, but it made a huge impression on me. If you aren't familiar, you can stream the whole LP here. Tons of great Rhodes tonz to be had.
This is crazy! I discovered that song about 3 months ago listening to the jazz station here in Atlanta. I thought the exact same thing while I was driving...You're As Right As Rain is THE PERFECT Rhodes tone.

That album is amazing. It's even got a funky take on a Paul Simon tune, Take Me To The Mardi Gras.

YES!! That album is like a time capsule for me. I actually reference it A LOT when I’m trying to describe how I’d like drums or bass or Rhodes to sound.

What a cool thread, thanks for sharing. I knew (know) next to nothing about these, really enjoyed seeing you bring this one back to life. 8)
