I bought one of these a while back, I wanted a quick solution for recording bass. I have it hardwired to where I just record two tracks of bass at the same time, I might change the sound of them at the preamp or later in the mix if I want to.

It's a very good unit, and very versatile. In that video above you'll see the performer doing some saturated J-bass stuff but it'll handle other sounds no problem. I bought the rack mount unit but if I was playing out I could easily see me getting a pedal solution.

Anyway, it's cool, it's not super expensive, versatile, well made and fun. Would recommend.

Interesting. I usually like doing bass amp sounds in the box for flexibility, but that does look cool and yeah pretty reasonable used.

Yeah I bet it sounds great!
I've used the sansamp bass driver pedals and rack units for years both for live and recording and always loved them, beefed up my Musicmaster Bass to Stingray levels of growl

Yeah, I used to do that, and I guess still do. But I would find myself fucking around tweaking presets and shit and not really getting anything done. There's a lot of good sounds out there, though.

True. You can really end up chasing your tail if you can change too many things during the mixing process.
