I don't know how helpful this will be but...

I have a Blue Yeti. I think it is great but to be honest I haven't recorded much with it at all. It has a built in monitor system which is just great so I use it to practice with my way too loud violin which is picked up by the mic and a piano accompaniment which is on my computer that plays through the monitor out into headphones.

The sound of the mic, at least just listening through headphones sounds good and natural. If you shop around you can often find these on sale closer to $100 than $200.

I want to build small home studio and I need microphone. I like USB mics and i Can spend up to $200. Which one from this do You recommend?

https://www.gear4music.com/Microphones/USB.html
I play mostly acoustic fingerstyle.
None of the above, for $200 you can get a real mic and an interface.

Have a look at an SM57 dynamic mic (a classic staple of the recording studio) https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SM57
or an AT2020 condenser mic https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/AT2020

...with this USB interface. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ScarlettSoloG2

This will give you a zero-latency headphone monitor, a mic-pre with XLR input which will let you use any XLR mic down the road, a direct instrument input, gain control per-channel with level indicators so you can see if you're clipping the interface, plus a line output to run a pair of powered monitors (or an amp with passives) and a bunch of bundled recording software to get you going.

Just FYI guys, you're replying to a spambot that 'hit and run' posts links to the same three vendors under the guise of asking for advice over and over - you will never, ever receive a response.

It didn't go to waste! I checked this thread, saw your suggestions, and I just bought a Focusrite Solo! I'd been meaning to get a USB interface forever and I finally bit the bullet.

No idea, I reported several of the posts/threads last year to no avail.

Yeah I know - that's the only reason I bothered to reply. :jacked:
