Not at all fond of matching headstocks with maple necks.
Someone here, on OSG once put it better than I... "reminds me of those fancy, tanned, older ladies you see at the mall with bleach blonde hair and matching lipstick/nails/outfits" :D

Or something like that...

sounds like a Shadowplay-ism to me.

I was always fond of the "California Girl" description of vintage Gibson cases that dealers used to use a lot back in the 90's.

Y'know, BROWN on the outside, PINK on the inside! :D

I don't know why put I don't really like the matching headstock on a maple fretboard neck... It gives me the impression that somebody put a color sock on the headstock.
SO I am all in for the "California Jaguars" but with rosewood necks ^^.
Take care the skons is evrywhere !

Agreed, matching head stocks on maple fretboards, especially with a jag or jm isn't really working for me.. The block inlays don't really do it for me either, whereas if it had a dark fretboard, i'd be in a fetal position drooling all over the floor. Or would that kill the entire idea of a California serie?
