best pickguard for a sonic blue jazzmaster?
what is the best color/style of pickguard for a sonic blue jazzmaster?
I know you are thinking that it's a fairly subjective question but let's be honest.
it's not.
There has to be a right answer!

With Sonic Blue, I really like a mint green PG, with antique white knobs/trem tip.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

I second the mint green for sonic blue, perfect match

I would third the mint green, except I think all the modern aftermarket mint green pickguards/materials are too green. Therefore I like Parchment. It's perhaps a bit too white for many people's taste, but it's better than stark white, and not sickly green like mint.

you are going to be the one to attach it so your opinion = 2 regular opinions.stereordinary wrote:I would third the mint green, except I think all the modern aftermarket mint green pickguards/materials are too green. Though the idea of sickly green is almost exactly what i want. I want a guitar that has kind of clashing victorian colors.
Like i want this house to be a guitar

Needs tort. Actually, I'm a big supporter of Sonic Blue or Daphne Blue with Tort, but it's gotta be a damn nice tort.

yes tort! But more of a brownish tort. Red tort would look a bit strange with blue imo.

I'm also trying to decide on a pickguard for a sonic blue jazz. I've been leaning towards the tort myself... I feel like a white pickgaurd is too bland if you have white/off white pickups and knobs and a relatively lighter finish color. That and I also like things that visually have stark color contrasts, like the house.
