Onboard Effects and shielding

Post by (brayden) » Wed Sep 28, 2016 6:51 am

So I'm in the planning stages of a custom Jazzmaster and i was thinking about putting an onboard fuzz pedal wired through the rhythm circuit (I'll probably go with the micro big muff) I am also going to shield the guitar cavity. Would the pedal short out or anything if any contacts on it's circuit board touches the shielding and if so how could I stop that from happening?

Yes, cover the circuit board with a thin sheet of plastic so it can't touch the shielding.
