Matthew
Hello everyone,
I have been watching and occasionally posting as mmc at FDP. It was a nice surprise to find this place.
My offset collection consists of a 2005 CIJ Jazzmaster, and 1966 Electric XII with a neck I had built earlier this year.
and a few other non offset guitars lurking around too...
I live in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
Until recently I was a computer programmer. As soon as I have an income again, I intend on increasing my offset collection with a Bass VI replica, and then maybe I need a Jaguar, and then...

Re: Matthew
Welcome, Matthew! Do you have any photos of the XII neck that you had made?

Nice to see another Australian .. I think you're the fourth.
Those pics aren't working for me .. do they work for everyone else?

Re: Matthew
Michael, sorry .. sometimes I use words that just seem like they should be universal... obvioulsy there are some that are universal... but in this case it was my mistake.... Esky was a brand name way back in the early 70s (or maybe even earlier) and now the generick term here in Australia is Esky.
But wait there is more....
lasty time I was in New Zealand on business I discovered that in that place of the globe they call (what we call an Esky) a "chilli-bin"
chilli = cold , bin = container etc = box/container that keeps things cold....
[I think the NZ "chilli-bin" is a liitle too much germanic (in a silly way) in its etymology for me, in the sense that german words are usually about 37 characters long and are almost like an entire sentence and have the entire meaning of the word IN THE word. For example hospital = Krankenhaus ]
