Hey Rob,
Welcome aboard. Which mini hum is that in your Bronco? I was thinking about putting one of those into a 70's Musicmaster that's got a Duosonic pickguard and two newer singles and am interested in your thoughts as to how it sounds. Cool guitars btw...

Re: Hi My name is Rob Roe
yes it is a duckbucker. I love it. I had to sand out my pickguard edges a tiny bit to get it in but its solid.
single coil, mid rangey sounds with no hum. i was amazed i could hold this guitar right up to my computer monitor and it still won't hum. Its a little on the expensive side but worth it. even better deal if you can find one used. if you were thinking about getting one to get a humbucker type sound I would go with a JB jr.
other warning. its very tall. I didn't have to sand out any more of my body cavity, but you might.
if you are looking to keep the MM's single coil sound and eliminate the hum get this pickup its great.

Robroe is the man to poularize the plastic covered pickup mod, so much so, that I htought he actually made them, and that's why they were called Robroe covers.
I prefer their older stuff.

I was actually thinking of the JB since I generally like the way the regular version sounds. So cool... thanks for the info.

These pics are from my Bronco pickguard template. The measurement of 4 1/8" is from the furthest point at which the pickguard is touching the bridge. However, I'm not sure this will be of any real help.zhivago wrote:hey Rob,robroe wrote:
