Hello to all. I've been playing for about three years but not really that great to be honest - but getting better every day! Mainly been playing acoustic (Yamaha LL16), but lately been playing more and more electric (MIM Tele Classic 60 and MIC Epi LP Custom).
After talking to a friend, and listening to My Aim Is True, several times, I am now dead set on getting myself a Jazzmaster. Joined this site to learn more to inform my purchase as I only have a very basic grasp of the differences at the moment.
Despite owning a MIM Tele and an EPI LP, I actually like to have as original as possible, so think I have ruled out Classic Players, so now thinking Japanese 62 reissue, but may need to change pups and electrics to get the sound I want, or American 62 or Thin Skin (seen Fiesta Red for £1299).
Decisions, decisions, so much to learn...

Well folks, I've gone and done it. I am now the proud owner of a Thin Skin Jazzmaster in Fiesta Red. I am absolutely loving it. Got a Txas Red Blues Junior to fire it through too!

Think skin Jazzy ? That's an Epic Win !
Don't hesitate to post pictures of the guitar, we have ... quite a craving for this kind of things.
Oh, and welcome btw.

Re: Hello from Scotland
Excuse the necro thread revival - I'm back with new gear!! The one you guys will be interested in is pictured below. I spend most of my time over on The Fretboard forum but a recent discussion over there about this guitar suggested this might be a good place to hang out for help making this guitar exactly how I want it to be. I'm conscious you have rules about trading on the forums so I'll say no more for the moment.
cheers
Gary
